In order to help the many people and pets displaced by the Nashville Floods, Nashville Paw Magazine launched the Nashville Paw Flood Relief Donation Drive on May 7, 2010. As of May 28, we have delivered more than 10 truckloads of pet supplies to flood relief shelters and distribution centers, as well as many carloads of supplies to nearly 50 individual families in need.
Please read on for information on how to donate, volunteer and request supplies. Or, VISIT OUR OFFICIAL FLOOD RELIEF PAGE HERE!
REQUEST HELP & SUPPLIES:
If your family and pets have been displaced by the floods and you are in need of pet supplies and food, please complete our Request For Donations Form and we will be in touch as soon as possible in order to deliver a care package to you. Or, simply call us at (615) 474-5710 to request help.
HOW TO DONATE:
To make a monetary donation, please click here. Any amount is greatly appreciated! As a special thank you, when you donate $40 or more, you’ll receive a free 1-year subscription to Nashville Paw Magazine (a $25 value). Please note that while 100% of your donation will go directly toward the purchase of needed pet supplies for these families, your donation is not tax-deductible.
To make a supply donation, drop off items at our 8 donation bins located at these participating stores:
Happy ReTales Pet Supply in Brentwood
Nashville Holistic Pet in West Nashville
Nashville Pet Products in Franklin, Hermitage & Nashville
PetCo in Hermitage
See Spot Eat Doggie Bakery in Berry Hill
Wags & Whiskers in East Nashville
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
PLEASE NOTE: We are only accepting pet supplies at this time. We have plenty of pet food and cat litter at this time.
CURRENT NEEDS: Cat beds, dogs beds of all sizes, chew toys for dogs (i.e., Nylabones), pet toys and treats and grooming products (brushes, combs, shampoo, conditioner, deoderizing spray). We also need donations of flea/tick prevention such as Advantix or Advantage.
HOW TO HELP:
Our need for volunteers has been filled at this time. The best way to help is to donate, and to spread the word for those in need to call us for help!
SHARE ON FACEBOOK:
Visit and share our Donation Drive event page and photo journal on Facebook!
SPECIAL THANKS:
A huge thanks to Pat at the Antioch StorPlace Self Storage for donating free storage to us while we collect and distribute these items! Thanks to everyone who has donated and volunteered thus far, and to all of our bin locations for their continued support.
Finally, THANK YOU to each of you for sharing your compassion with our neighbors in Nashville! Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Heather,
I wanted to put this information on Buttercup’s facebook page. My 63-year-old eyes can’t read your orange print. Please consider this for the future.
Thanks,
Peg
